We all get crazy and trip over our own feet. Ice pack or hot pack which works best? Here you go: cold for new injuries such as sprained ankle, sore elbow after tennis (yes, we have tennis courts in Rocky Point), aching joints after jet skiing or pulling in a big fish. the cold reduces swelling and eases inflammation. TIP: A bag of frozen peas makes a great emergency ice pack.
Heat for pain or muscle soreness, after paddling a kayak in our warm ocean or working out in one of our local gyms and playing beach volley ball. P.S. always wrap your ice bag or hot pack in a towel before applying it to the sore area. Stay awake while using cold therapy. Apply treatment for no more than 20 minutes then remove for 20 minutes before reapplying. If you have a more serious condition Rocky Point has a Red Cross location on Freemont Blvd. and a first class medical clinic on the road to Sandy Beach.

Rocky Point Food Trivia

They contain capsaicin, which makes your mouth burn, so your brian assumes you're in pain and releases hormones to make you feel better! The spicy heat also stimulates nerve endings that increase vitality! Who would have known what "hot" peppers can do, bring on a side dish of chilis please.

Rocky Point Vacation History
During the Prohibition era in the U.S., an enterprising businessman, Johnny Stone, visited Puerto Penasco. Realizing the potential of this village to attract wealthy Americans to vacation and fish, Stone built the town's first hotel, drilled a well, and opened for business. It was not until yeras later when it was slowly discovered by some Americans as an alternative for retirement and vacation. Rocky Point has all the potential Johnny Stone talked about today! As a vacation destination we have beautiful white sand beaches and warm ocean water, plus fishing charters and/or exceptional fish dishes at local restaurants throughout the community. If you haven't discovered Rocky Point, NOW'S the time.
